At the League, we frequently receive inquiries about meaningful ways your financial gifts can make a difference. This Giving Tuesday, December 2, 2025, we are grateful to highlight several unique opportunities should the Lord be calling you to make a substantial and impactful gift. With permission, all donors will be recognized in any news stories we share about our Giving Tuesday initiatives.
Since the League’s beginning, small prayer cards featuring the image of Blessed Karl and a prayer have been one of the simplest and most effective ways to share Emperor Karl’s life and witness near and far. In a real way, these humble cards have become touch points for grace and even miracles. In 2012, we began our first printing of Relic Prayer Cards, which included a Third-Class Relic (cloth touched to the rib bones of Blessed Karl). Thanks to the generosity of Giving Tuesday 2025, we were able to produce thousands of new cards lovingly assembled by cloistered Carmelite nuns.
Since then, these cards have reached every continent and have been given freely to anyone who asks. They remain entirely free of charge—and always will be. However, as devotion to Blessed Karl has grown, so has the demand. With more than 25 shrines in North America and additional requests coming from around the world, large orders from devotees and parishes have made it increasingly difficult to keep cards in stock. Our supply has now been depleted.
A gift of $5,000 will make it possible to produce a newly redesigned Third-Class Relic Prayer Card in Rome, Italy. The new laminated, credit-card–sized format will be both durable and easy to carry, ensuring Blessed Karl’s witness can be shared widely and with ease.
