A Husband Sanctified by Love

“Husbands, love your wives as Christ loved the Church.” — Ephesians 5:25

Karl’s marriage to Zita was a true partnership in holiness. They prayed together, suffered together, and entrusted their mission to God together. In exile, when their future was uncertain and their material security gone, their love became even more radiant. Their marriage reveals that sanctity is not lived apart from human relationships but through them. Patience, forgiveness, tenderness, and fidelity form the daily path to heaven. The ordinary sacrifices made for one another become extraordinary in the eyes of God.
