A Shepherd for His People

“The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep.” — John 10:11

Even in exile, Karl’s heart remained with his people. His prayer and suffering were offered for them. Every life is given for others in ways that are often unseen. Responsibility in love is the form our vocation takes. The care he carried for his people is the same love we are asked to carry for those entrusted to us.

Blessed Karl, give us a shepherd’s heart. Amen.
