2nd Monday of Lent
Silence Under Accusation
“The Lord will fight for you; you have only to keep still.” — Exodus 14:14
Misunderstood and criticized, Karl refused to defend himself in anger. He entrusted his reputation to God. Silence is not weakness; it is trust. Lent teaches us to let go of the need to justify ourselves and to rest in God’s truth. In that surrender we find peace.
Blessed Karl, teach us the strength of holy silence. Amen.
