On Saturday, July 25, 2020, an Annual Pilgrimage Mass was celebrated at the Chapel of Blessed Karl in the Czech Republic. Held on the 10th anniversary of the chapel’s consecration, it is the first religious building in Czech lands dedicated to Blessed Karl.

The chapel is situated in a meadow near the source of the Andělice River above the village of Branišovl, in the picturesque Pošumava landscape, in the Domažlice district of the Pilsen region. Home to the local celebration of the Traditional Mass, the chapel has become a place of pilgrimage known for its panoramic views and prayerful solitude.

Built between 2008 to 2010, the chapel was funded by a generous donation from the Nejdl family and other benefactors. The chapel’s aim is to cultivate devotion to Blessed Karl, while acquainting people with the Habsburg-Lorraine family in Czech history and tradition.
