A gathering of priests and seminarians at Carmelo do Imaculado Coração de Maria e Santa Teresinha em Cotia, Brazil, for the Feast of Blessed Karl on October 21, 2016.

Throughout his life Blessed Karl nurtured so much love for Our Eucharistic Lord that he could spend hours in adoration before the Blessed Sacrament. At the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass his concentration was so complete that by the end of his life, he would go into ecstasy as soon as Mass began. It is no wonder, then, that he had a profound veneration for priests.

Since the virtues a person practices during life endure for all eternity, those who are priests should feel Blessed Karl's patronage in a very special way. He must understand and appreciate the priestly vocation now more than ever.

What better gift could a priest offer to Blessed Karl on his Feast Day than to celebrate Holy Mass in his honor? The liturgical texts and prayers for the Divine Office and Mass for Blessed Karl can be found here. For the celebration of Mass in the Extraordinary Form, please use the First Mass of a Confessor not a Bishop (Os Justi).

If you plan on celebrating a Mass, please email us to let us know! We are happy to include your Mass in our schedule of events. If you have photos from your Mass or celebration, please email them to us for inclusion in our photopost which will appear in early November.

May Blessed Karl accompany you in all the activities, trials, and blessings of your priesthood with his loving intercession.
